All kinds of new gameplay systems are present in XCOM 2. There are five soldier classes in-game, and each of them has their own unique skill tree which allows you to customize your soldiers and tailor them into your own personal alien killing machines. The game features an open-ended gameplay that gives you all the freedom when it comes to where you will send your strike team, how you're going to get support, and in what way to deal with the alien counter-operations. Players will use the Avenger in XCOM 2, which is an alien supply craft that has been transformed into a mobile XCOM base. They are looking for a way to start a global revolt that will rid humanity of the sinister alien threat once and for all. The small remaining XCOM forces are on the run and the odds are stacked against them, but they aren't ready to give up yet. Most of the people have lost their freedom, but there are those that live far away from these new alien cities that are still fighting for their lives.
In XCOM's sequel, the aliens are the new rulers of Earth, and they have promised a bright future for mankind while they plotting and eliminating anyone that defies their new world order. The world leaders decided to surrender completely to the alien forces 20 years ago, and XCOM, the last chance for Earth's survival as it was, has been defeated and dissipated. XCOM 2 is a tactical turn-based strategy developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K on February 5th, 2016.
